Ontario Stage Hypnotist Has Been Entertaining Audiences Since 1983

All he wanted to be was a magician. But after running out of new tricks to show his high school, his mentor recommended hypnosis. After just one show, Ontario stage hypnotist Blair Robertson’s career would be launched.

“Looking back it was truly a freak experience. I didn’t believe in it at first and I only meant to do it just the one time,” says the energetic Robertson.

The stage hypnotist has performed over 1500 shows across Ontario alone, mostly in high schools where he first got his start. Throw in the corporate work, and his list is over 2000 shows long (hitting 2000 in the year 2000)

His career he credits mostly to hard work in making the show clean and funny. The bookings are mostly from word-of-mouth.

Friends eventually graduated to colleges where he would be invited to perform and then eventually graduate into jobs in the corporate world… where he’d get more work.

His ultra-clean show was perfectly suited to corporate audiences and his reputation just grew from there.

Robertson has traveled the world with the show, but confesses to loving Ontario the best.

“Why? Because it is large and diverse. There are thousands of small beautiful towns and sights unmatched anywhere else I have been. Being an Ontario stage hypnotist has allowed me freedom, travel and enjoyment that I doubt I’d ever have anywhere else.”
